Support and Advice

The School recognises that it is important for continuing professional development students to be able to easily find out about the services and support available to them quickly and easily.

The following services provided by the School are available:

Supporting your learning

There are a range of learning resources and facilities available for continuing professional development students to utilise. These include the library on the Glenside Campus which is one of the best health and social care libraries in England with a huge selection of books, journals and audio visual materials including access to specialist health and social care software packages.

Our regional Education Centres have their own libraries that stock books and audio visual materials including a range of health and social care databases with on-line access to the Glenside Campus library resources.

Information technology (IT) provision is in the form of multimedia laboratories, remote access links with service areas, smart boards and innovative projects such as ‘multicasting’ to deliver teaching material. At the main Frenchay Campus there is 24-hour access to computing facilities. The School also provides excellent IT provision such as internet access and e-mail to all students.

The Student One Stop Shop based on the Glenside Campus is a good point of contact for any query or concern.
